Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years logistics/marine insurance brokerage experience
  • Valid broker’s license
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of carrier underwriting practices
  • Proven client relationship building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Must maintain broker’s license
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of logistics/marine insurance brokerage experience
  • Solid understanding of carrier underwriting practices and processes
  • Proven client facing skills including effective presentations and communications
  • Valid broker’s license
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in working with teams and clients
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Strong social skills for interaction at various levels

Job Duties

  • Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client
  • Ensure that placements are handled accurately and on time
  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge of logistics liability and shipper’s interest insurance marketplace, products and services
  • Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and Aon local office teams
  • Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures
  • Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs
  • Present to local account executives, participate in RFPs, client meetings and conference calls
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive level clients in broking, designing, selling and servicing complex accounts
  • Serve as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and underwriting policies
  • Plan, schedule, resource and drive large projects and programs
  • Interact frequently with senior level colleagues and clients involving cross-functional collaboration
