Job Requirements

  • US citizenship
  • Current final Secret security clearance
  • Ability to work onsite at RAF Fairford, UK
  • Willingness to work six-day work weeks and variable shifts
  • Capability to deploy worldwide as required
  • Compliance with security and safety protocols
  • Ability to live in government furnished quarters if needed

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience with U-2 aircraft systems
  • Five or more years of general aircraft maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of electrical and avionics troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • Experience with fiber optics repair preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Current final Secret security clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform duties on the flight line and phase dock as directed
  • Troubleshoot electrical and avionics systems
  • Conduct power-on operational checks
  • Provide informal on-the-job training to Air Force personnel
  • Interpret technical data and wiring diagrams
  • Adhere to U-2 maintenance and safety protocols
  • Participate in mobility and deployment training
