Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- supplemented by 30 credit hours of college level course work
- three years of relevant experience in radio operations, computer operations, switchboard operations or data entry
- one year of public service call processing preferred
- possession of valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by hire date
- possession of valid City Operator's Permit within 6 months of hire
- must pass drug test, hearing test and background check
- possession of NCIC Certification within one year of hire
- possession of New Mexico Department of Public Safety Telecommunicator Certification within one year of hire
- ability to qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card in accordance with TSA and Aviation Department guidelines
Job Qualifications

- three years of experience in radio operations, computer operations, switchboard operations or data entry
- one year of processing public service calls preferred
- valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by hire date
- valid City Operator's Permit within 6 months of hire

- possession of New Mexico Department of Public Safety Telecommunicator Certification within one year of hire
Job Duties
- monitor airport security systems
- operate multi-line, multi-function touch screen telephone system
- respond to aircraft incidents, accidents, security incidents and criminal activities
- dispatch appropriate personnel to incidents
- operate various communication and security equipment
- maintain records, files, and logs
- communicate clearly and concisely
