Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid North Carolina driver’s license
- ability to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment and 10 year Criminal History Records Check
- capability to perform heavy physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds
- availability to work in varying weather conditions
- ability to obtain NATA Safety 1st Training certification within 6 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of aircraft towing procedures and practices
- knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices
- knowledge of aircraft fueling practices
- valid North Carolina driver’s license
- ability to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment and 10 year Criminal History Records Check
- obtaining NATA Safety 1st Training certification within 6 months of hire
Job Duties
- Performs aviation work by directing aircraft, fueling and towing aircraft, securing and tying down aircraft, performing aircraft lavatory services, and maintaining cleanliness in aircraft areas
- receives, inspects and processes aviation fuel deliveries
- provides vehicle maintenance by performing inspections and ensuring proper preventative maintenance on motor vehicles, ground equipment and landscaping equipment
- performs landscaping maintenance by mowing and treating grass, repairing fencing, performing trenching, digging, and concrete work
- assists in airfield maintenance by maintaining the proper state of runways and taxiways and maintaining proper wiring connections for directional and obstruction lights
- performs building maintenance by engaging in remodeling projects and providing janitorial services
- performs quality control for fuel farm and refuelers including maintaining daily, monthly, and annual inspections of aviation fuels and providing sampling and testing of tanker truck deliveries
