Job Requirements

  • Physically able to perform duties safely and efficiently
  • Good distant vision in each eye, able to read typewritten characters
  • Ability to hear conversational voice
  • No physical condition posing hazard to self or others
  • At least one year specialized experience at the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level
  • Specialized experience with flight attendant training, investigations, and compliance monitoring

Job Qualifications

  • Experience conducting flight attendant training according to FAR and FAA-approved programs
  • Skilled in conducting investigations and preparing reports
  • Knowledgeable in monitoring and evaluating training programs for regulatory compliance
  • Ability to interpret and apply Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Strong communication and technical support skills

Job Duties

  • Serve as a technical authority on cabin safety requirements
  • Provide technical support to assigned air carriers and operators
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and FAA policy
  • Conduct investigations of public complaints, congressional inquiries, and aircraft incidents
  • Monitor and evaluate flight attendant training programs
  • Conduct enforcement investigations and prepare final reports
  • Recommend dispositions based on investigation findings
