Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Minimum 1,500 total flight hours
  • At least one year of pilot experience in multi-engine aircraft over 12,500 pounds maximum takeoff weight
  • Three years experience working in air carrier, commercial operator, or air agency certificate organizations
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Fluency in English
  • No chemical dependencies or drug abuse
  • Physically able to perform duties safely
  • Good distant vision and hearing ability
  • No hazards from any physical condition
  • Not more than two incidents involving 14 CFR violations in last five years
  • Not more than two flying accidents involving pilot error in last five years

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Minimum 1,500 total flight hours
  • At least one year of pilot experience in multi-engine aircraft over 12,500 pounds maximum takeoff weight
  • Three years experience in organizations with air carrier or commercial operator certificates
  • Fluency in English
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Clearance of not more than two 14 CFR violations in last five years
  • No flying accidents involving pilot error over last five years

Job Duties

  • Conduct certification assessments for assigned air carriers and agencies
  • Perform surveillance and inspections to ensure compliance with 14 CFR regulations
  • Establish and manage work programs for inspection and surveillance activities
  • Monitor operational safety and regulatory adherence of multi-engine aircraft operations
  • Issue and review certificates for aviation organizations and individuals
  • Analyze flight operations and provide expert feedback to improve safety practices
  • Collaborate with other FAA teams and stakeholders to enforce aviation safety standards
