Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in aircraft turbine engine component repair
  • Experience in composite component manufacture or repair
  • Familiarity with aerospace or aviation fields
  • Proficient in using precision measuring hand tools
  • Ability to perform visual inspections
  • Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations
  • Ability to organize and document inspection results
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Adherence to drug-free workplace policy
  • Ability to understand and follow technical data and inspection methods

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in aircraft turbine engine component repair
  • Experience in composite component manufacture or repair
  • Familiarity with aerospace or aviation repair or manufacturing fields
  • Proficiency in the use of precision measuring hand tools
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and NADCAP standards
  • Ability to perform various levels of visual inspection
  • Understanding of composite and honeycomb materials
  • Airframe and Powerplant license preferred but not required
  • Prior aerospace, aviation, or industrial turbine engine manufacture, repair, or inspection experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform visual inspections including preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on metal and composite civil aviation articles
  • Use precision measuring hand tools to detect and measure component defects
  • Evaluate hardware quality at designated repair process steps
  • Inspect hardware from outside processes for compliance
  • Organize and document inspection findings according to established codes and standards
  • Interpret manufacturer’s instructions for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives to guide inspections
  • Collaborate with the repair team to ensure adherence to FAA regulations and NADCAP standards
