Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, aviation management, Geographic Information Systems, or relevant field
  • 3 or more years progressive experience in relevant functional area
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in noise issue communication
  • Customer service and de-escalation best practices
  • Strategic decision-making skills
  • Technology and data systems proficiency for noise monitoring
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Project and process management experience including budgets and schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, aviation management, Geographic Information Systems, or related fields
  • 3 or more years of relevant progressive experience with technology and data analysis
  • Proven ability to manage complex issues and deliver solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in interpreting noise-related issues
  • Skilled in customer service and de-escalation techniques
  • Strong strategic decision-making in multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experienced in leveraging technology for monitoring and reporting noise metrics
  • Project and process management including budgets and schedules

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Aviation Noise program
  • Ensure department functions align with Port policies including budget and contracts
  • Champion decision-making across departments and recommend on complex business matters
  • Monitor and communicate federal, state, and local laws affecting the program
  • Manage and maintain aviation noise monitoring systems
  • Evaluate and implement technologies to enhance program efficiency and data reporting
  • Manage community noise complaints providing accurate and quality customer service
  • Build community partnerships and lead targeted outreach efforts
  • Utilize digital platforms and public forums to engage impacted communities
