Job Requirements

  • Provide timely on call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Ability to travel 25 - 50 percent
  • Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives
  • FAA A&P license in good standing
  • Pass drug and/or alcohol testing as required by DOT/FAA
  • Ability to work full-time including flexible hours and 24/7 on-call roster

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
  • Active and current FAA A&P license required
  • Experience with FAR 135 operations preferred
  • Skills in electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing
  • Proficiency in sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Ability to read and understand various maintenance documents such as 337's, Service Bulletins, AD's, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Team player with a professional attitude
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call
  • Efficiency in using electronic or paper based manuals and vendor data
  • Ability to learn and utilize ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting

Job Duties

  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Verify by physical inspection or markings on parts that part numbers and serial numbers match associated documentation upon installation or removal
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement phase of the Safety Management System and be familiar with SMS policies, processes, and procedures
  • Maintain work area in a clean and professional manner
  • Correct compliance or safety issues as directed by maintenance and safety leadership
  • Advise the Pilot in Command of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service
  • Validate or confirm the data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on
  • Request aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate and orderly inventory for prompt repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
