Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position
- a valid driver's license is required
- ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions
- ability to work in noisy environments and handle chemicals associated with facility operations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- currently enrolled as an AMT (aviation maintenance technology) student in the first or second semester
- efficient with the ability to read, write, and utilize technology such as computers and email effectively
- knowledgeable and skilled in general cleaning methods and practices
- dependable and capable of completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- perform general housekeeping and cleaning of the tool room, lab area, test cell, hangar, and related equipment using standard housekeeping tools and industrial cleaning equipment
- empty trash and recycling containers, dust, polish, and wax fixtures, furniture, and equipment
- staff the tool room during lab sessions to assist students with access to materials stored in the tool room including books, computers, tools, and hardware
- perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on training aids, facility equipment, aircraft-related components, and tools
- clean and detail department vehicles including golf carts, trucks, aircraft tow tags, and training aircraft
- perform other duties as assigned to support aviation program operations
