Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-4 years of service repair experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC and HVAC experience
- Minimum 1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on mobile heavy equipment and related components
- Experience with diesel-powered vehicles preferred or equivalent educational experience
- Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills
- Knowledge of and ability to perform corrosion control using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Familiarity with repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics necessary for troubleshooting and repairing components
- Average to advanced computer skills preferred
- Automotive mechanical background or millwright experience is a plus
- GSE experience considered an advantage
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight or awkward positions
- Ability to properly lift weights exceeding 50 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Possession of necessary hand tools to perform assigned tasks
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Job Duties
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or electrical discrepancies on various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems and subsystems
- Inspect, repair, rebuild/overhaul components such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems
- Disassemble components, inspect for quality factors, and reassemble to OEM specifications
- Perform preventative maintenance and meticulously document all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions using computer-based Maintenance Information Systems (MIS)
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce downtime
- Strictly adhere to aviation practices of tool control, FOD prevention, safety, and parts accountability
- Adhere to all environmental safety and regulatory commissions, including OSHA and EPA, ensuring safety while operating equipment on-site
- Coordinate professionally with internal departments and external customers
- Maintain routine housekeeping duties such as cleaning work area, toolboxes, and company vehicle(s)
- Participate actively in professional development and training related to GSE maintenance
- Perform other assignments as designated by the Shop Manager or Lead Technician
