Job Requirements
- FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI)
- FAA Third Class Medical Certificate or higher
- Compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations parts 61 and 141
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Control Procedures AO 7110.65
- Ability to coordinate with Aviation Program Director
- Experience managing student scheduling and tracking
- Capability to maintain accurate student records and logbooks
- Commitment to maintaining a professional and safe learning environment
Job Qualifications
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) by FAA
- CFI-Instrument (CFII) preferred
- CFI-Multi-Engine desirable
- FAA Third Class Medical Certificate or higher
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Experience as a US military or airline flight instructor preferred
Job Duties
- Coordinate with the Aviation Program Director for student flight training requirements
- Schedule students and track student progress
- Ensure course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students as per the Training Course Outline
- Work to ensure timely student completion of the license sought
- Maintain student records and keep student logbooks current
- Ensure applicable FAA regulations and CCBC policies are followed
- Promote an environment of professionalism and a positive safety culture
- Monitor maintenance condition of simulators and report issues
- Recommend curriculum and courseware improvements and develop new materials as assigned
