Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • relevant experience in aviation or air traffic control
  • demonstrated teaching ability
  • familiarity with FAA CTI program requirements
  • strong organizational and administrative skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration
  • effective communication skills
  • valid relevant certifications or licenses
  • ability to maintain up-to-date industry knowledge
  • capability to meet teaching load requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field
  • experience in air traffic control or aviation instruction
  • knowledge of FAA regulations and training standards
  • ability to develop and revise curriculum
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience with student advising and recruitment
  • proficiency in instructional technology for online/hybrid teaching
  • capacity to manage partnerships and industry relationships
  • commitment to compliance and regulatory standards

Job Duties

  • Instruction at 30 teaching learning hours minimum per annum
  • design, develop and implement department programs or initiatives in collaboration with Chair and colleagues
  • student advising
  • maintain compliance with policies and procedures
  • maintain department records and files as required
  • facilitate and attend meetings
  • prepare, analyze and provide reports as requested
  • manage program expenses and resources efficiently
  • identify access and analyze program data
  • develop new courses in collaboration with colleagues
  • provide superior customer service and problem-solving
  • develop and revise aviation curricula per industry standards
  • market and recruit to increase enrollment
  • manage FAA Collegiate Training Initiative partnership with full compliance
  • establish and maintain employer and industry-partner relationships
  • effective advisement of students
  • work with internal departments to market and promote courses
  • represent and promote the college at events
  • perform decisively in deadline-oriented environment
  • direct support of Department Chair
  • maintain currency in aviation licensing
  • other duties as assigned
