Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
  • No experience required and on the job training provided

Job Qualifications

  • One (1) year of prior multi-line reception experience or dispatching experience preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships
  • Skilled in scheduling and dispatching resources efficiently
  • Capable of preparing and managing work orders and work schedules
  • Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
  • Problem-solving abilities to recognize and mitigate departmental issues
  • Experience in monitoring resource utilization for optimal efficiency
  • Familiarity with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
  • Effective interpersonal and client service skills

Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers
  • Schedule and dispatch resources, which may be team members, crews/teams, equipment, or service vehicles, to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios, telephones, and/or computers
  • Ensure timely and efficient movement of resources according to work orders and/or resource schedules
  • Oversee all communications within specifically assigned area(s)
  • Receive or prepare work orders and work schedules
  • Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work, or services performed, inventory, and other dispatch information
  • Recognize and mitigate a variety of issues encountered within the department and other work environments
  • Confer with clients and/or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for resources
  • Monitor resources and utilization in order to coordinate services and schedules to achieve optimal efficiency
  • Compile statistics and reports on work progress
  • Monitor daily services and provide updates and reports
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities
