Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must be legal to work in the United States (a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work)
  • Must own valid United States or foreign passport with applicable VISAs
  • Must have the right to travel freely in and out of the United States, to and from all cities served by CommutAir without restriction

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a valid FAA Dispatch certificate
  • Excellent communication skills, written, spoken, and radio
  • Intermediate computer skills, especially MS Office and department-specific software
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken

Job Duties

  • Assist with development and oversight of dispatcher training courseware
  • Liaison with other departments within CommutAir, FAA, and industry peers
  • Maintain dispatch training records
  • Maintain currency as an aircraft dispatcher for CommutAir and work as a dispatcher if required
  • Scheduling dispatch training
  • Conduct ground school and competency checks for dispatchers
  • Perform duties assigned by the Chief Dispatcher
  • Accountable for the Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities described in the Company’s SMS Manual and 14 CFR part 5.23
