Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering
- Minimum 8 years of relevant aviation project management experience
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- Ability to manage multi-discipline projects in airport engineering
- Experience with client management and business development
- Proficiency in coordinating with regulatory agencies including FAA
- Available for travel within the regional area
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Effective communication and team mentoring abilities
- Commitment to quality assurance and project control
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in aviation project management
- Proven experience managing projects with contract values of $5 million or more
- Track record of marketing and selling services to aviation clients
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in California preferred
- Experience preparing project reports, feasibility studies, and PS&Es for aviation projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel within Southern California, Nevada, and neighboring states
Job Duties
- Perform a wide array of aviation-related civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for airports
- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of multi-discipline airport engineering projects
- Mentor and develop staff, providing leadership that encourages teamwork and growth
- Guide project teams on complex technical issues
- Supervise, coordinate, and produce several projects concurrently
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Participate in marketing and business development to secure projects
- Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute projects
- Coordinate staffing plans and workloads to meet schedules and budgets
- Control project cost, scope, schedule, and quality
- Implement project QA/QC and collaborate with finance and management for project reviews
- Prepare engineering design reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
- Oversee design and construction for general aviation clients
- Collaborate with multi-discipline design teams
- Coordinate with clients, funding agencies, FAA, and permit authorities
