Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent aviation experience
  • valid credentials or licenses relevant to air traffic control or flight instruction
  • minimum of three years' professional experience in aviation
  • ability to teach a variety of aviation subjects
  • effective communication and advisory skills
  • willingness to engage in program marketing and curriculum development
  • participation in college committees and events

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or commensurate aviation experience
  • air traffic control specialist credentials or pilot certificated flight or ground instructor or aircraft dispatcher certification
  • minimum three years' experience in the aviation field
  • teaching experience in collegiate aviation preferred
  • expertise in flight simulation or air traffic control simulation preferred
  • related aviation certifications preferred
  • experience with distance learning platforms preferred

Job Duties

  • teach assigned aviation courses including aviation history safety air traffic control aviation fundamentals and air transportation
  • advise and counsel students within the aviation program
  • assist in the design and update of aviation program curricula
  • organize and host aviation events on campus to promote the program
  • collaborate with the Aviation Program Coordinator to support program success
  • participate in college committees related to aviation and related fields
  • promote and market the aviation program to prospective students and community stakeholders
