Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate aviation experience
  • Three years’ experience in the aviation field
  • Credentials and licenses for air traffic control or flight instruction
  • Ability to teach multiple aviation courses
  • Availability to participate in college committees and student events
  • Effective communication and student advisement skills
  • Commitment to program marketing and promotion

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent aviation experience
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the aviation field
  • Credentials and licenses to instruct as an air traffic control specialist, pilot, certificated flight or ground instructor, or aircraft dispatcher
  • Teaching experience in collegiate aviation preferred
  • Technical expertise in flight or air traffic control simulation systems advantageous
  • Related aviation certifications
  • Experience with distance learning preferred

Job Duties

  • Teach assigned aviation courses including aviation history, safety, air traffic control, aviation fundamentals, and air transportation
  • Advise and counsel students on academic and career pathways
  • Participate in marketing and promotion of the aviation program
  • Host aviation events on campus to enhance student engagement
  • Assist in the design and updating of the aviation program curriculum
  • Collaborate with the Aviation Program Coordinator to oversee program success
  • Serve on college committees as assigned
