Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate aviation experience
- Three years’ experience in the aviation field
- Credentials and licenses for air traffic control or flight instruction
- Ability to teach multiple aviation courses
- Availability to participate in college committees and student events
- Effective communication and student advisement skills
- Commitment to program marketing and promotion
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent aviation experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the aviation field
- Credentials and licenses to instruct as an air traffic control specialist, pilot, certificated flight or ground instructor, or aircraft dispatcher
- Teaching experience in collegiate aviation preferred
- Technical expertise in flight or air traffic control simulation systems advantageous
- Related aviation certifications
- Experience with distance learning preferred
Job Duties
- Teach assigned aviation courses including aviation history, safety, air traffic control, aviation fundamentals, and air transportation
- Advise and counsel students on academic and career pathways
- Participate in marketing and promotion of the aviation program
- Host aviation events on campus to enhance student engagement
- Assist in the design and updating of the aviation program curriculum
- Collaborate with the Aviation Program Coordinator to oversee program success
- Serve on college committees as assigned
