- must possess a hs diploma ged or equivalent
- must be able to read and understand english

- must be able to climb twist bend and stoop
- must have use of hands and be able to work over-head
- must be able to stand squat and grasp
- must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Job Qualifications

- experience with paint mixing and application preferred
- knowledge of safety practices in paint application
- ability to use power and hand tools for surface preparation
- attention to detail and quality control
Job Duties
- perform preparation work prior to painting such as repairing surface defects sanding and cleaning
- apply masking tape or other materials over parts not to be coated
- mix paints and catalysts prior to applying and prepare spray equipment
- regulate spray width and pressure to apply prime or finish coat
- clean spraying equipment with solvent and maintain clean and safe work environment
- clean grease and dirt from products depending on situation
- fill grind and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
- fill depressions with body filler and file dings to attain smooth surface
- prime or paint surfaces after body repair
- visually examine and feel surface to ensure quality
- perform other assigned tasks
