Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum 3 months actual experience or supervised training as a hood technician required
  • valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles
  • ability to properly use mechanical hand tools
  • good communication skills
  • attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Work safely, wear safety gear, keep work area clean and organized
  • Use Echo System / Echo services and vehicle information
  • Direct the vehicle into the bay
  • Place fender covers on the vehicle
  • Perform light check and check/fill automatic transmission fluid (when applicable), condition and level of oil, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, coolant, battery electrolyte
  • Remove and check emissions components: replace top-side oil filter, when applicable, air filter, cabin air filter, breather, and radiator cap
  • Deliver emissions components to center manager for customer presentation
  • when applicable install emissions components
  • Perform visual inspection of belts, hoses, and other hood compartment components, document unusual conditions
  • Perform additional services, as needed, perform final safety and quality check
  • Record information on Work Order
