Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years of experience in sommelier or wine steward roles
- ability to manage and mentor a large team
- excellent knowledge of wine regions and varietals
- strong communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- commitment to upholding hospitality standards
- willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a sommelier or in a similar role
- strong knowledge of wines, including regions, varieties, and pairing principles
- excellent leadership and team management skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- passion for hospitality and guest service
- effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- formal certification as a sommelier is preferred
Job Duties
- manage and mentor a team of 50-75 staff in a high-volume setting
- curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements the menu
- educate staff and guests on wine selections and pairings
- oversee wine inventory and ordering processes
- collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to coordinate beverage pairings
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- foster a culture of respect, integrity, and hospitality within the team
