Job Requirements

  • 1+ years experience in commercial foodservice
  • Experience in food preparation and equipment
  • Culinary certification or equivalent training
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Ability to work extended hours and/or rotating schedules
  • Ability to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk
  • Ability to frequently be exposed to heat
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs and manage heavier loads with a team lift
  • Ability to be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic materials
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms
  • Ability to perform fine motor movements

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in commercial foodservice
  • Experience in food preparation and equipment
  • Culinary knowledge
  • Understanding of nutritional values and ingredients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reading and writing skills

  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Culinary math skills for recipe conversion
  • Ability to execute high-volume production
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Culinary certification or equivalent culinary training or work experience

Job Duties

  • Cut, slice, dice, chop food for recipe preparation
  • Prepackage condiments such as sauces and dressings for prepared food items
  • Complete tasks at assigned workstation
  • Assist in multiple cooking venues
  • Assist in technical areas and with catering orders as needed
  • Master recipe preparation including daily production to account for raw material variations and customer demand
  • Prepare, package, and plate fresh product
  • Ensure compliance with department store and standard operating procedures
  • Properly handle and maintain temperature integrity of all ingredients, product, and equipment operation
  • Maintain sanitation in food preparation areas
  • Properly handle, operate, and maintain equipment
  • Perform as a team member to help ensure a safe, clean, productive operation
  • Provide urgency related to accuracy, speed, and freshness of orders
  • Provide superior customer service at all times
  • Provide detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and prep methods
  • Assist guests as needed
