Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience preferred
  • Completion of company orientation and safety training
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Experience in customer service or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of department-specific products such as beauty, drugstore, entertainment, grocery, or Texas Backyard areas is a plus

  • Good planning and organizing skills

Job Duties

  • Stock and rotate items as needed
  • Assist with inventory control
  • Load, unload, and move product
  • Organize, clean, and prepare back area for night crew and incoming trucks
  • Organize merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable to the public
  • Ensure integrity of shelf tags and signage in department
  • Create and prepare signage as needed
  • Maintain standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation
  • Check shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality
  • Build, stock, maintain, and take down store displays
  • Perform customer service assistant duties as needed
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
  • Help customers locate store merchandise
  • Merchandise product effectively
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
  • Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
  • Properly handle and maintain the operation of all equipment
  • Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures
