Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in related field
- minimum of one year experience managing teams and overseeing live productions and AV operations
- demonstrated customer service and equipment troubleshooting skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- certification in First Aid and CPR/AED within first month of employment
- completion of Extron NAV Systems Certification, Extron Network Systems Specialist Program, and Mobile Elevating Working Platform Certification within six months
- valid ability to read and write technical documentation
- commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in a related program
- minimum of one year managing teams, live productions, audio visual installations, equipment testing, customer service, and equipment repair
- 1 - 2 years experience working with students preferred
- ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- proficiency in multiple software programs
- advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- working knowledge of EMS, 7Point Ops, Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- ability to perform simple mathematical computations
- ability to solve practical problems and interpret diverse instructions
Job Duties
- serve as a specialist in audio-visual and room configuration needs for in-house and off-campus contacts
- maintain a high level of customer service by engaging with clients and addressing their needs promptly
- utilize critical thinking and quick decision-making to resolve issues during events
- oversee installations, upgrades, and maintenance of AV systems including conference rooms and video telecommunications
- manage meeting room and facility setups coordinating with clients and Event Services Manager
- restore non-working AV equipment and provide routine move/add/change support
- oversee inventory management by tracking and organizing equipment
- develop clear instructions and documentation for AV system users
- assist with capital purchases related to meeting room furniture and equipment
- maintain all video walls, video displays, Extron, and projection systems in SMSU facilities
- set up and test new AV equipment and user devices
- maintain liaison with outside vendors for AV support
- observe all applicable laws and operate in accordance with safety procedures
- provide input on SMSU Scheduling and Facilities Use Policies
- serve as extension of Event Services Manager during requirement gathering and job walks
- participate on campus-wide committees as assigned
