Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally
- good balance and coordination
- visual acuity to assess accuracy and detail of work
- ability to work standing and walking for extended periods
- effective communication skills in English
- no supervisory experience required
Job Qualifications
- ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions given in English
- ability to maintain working relationships with co-workers
- ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple tasks
- previous experience in custodial or floor care work preferred
- basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures
Job Duties
- Dust mops, wet mops, and vacuums floors
- periodically polishes floors using buffing machines according to procedures
- strips and refinishes floors and shampoos carpets according to procedures
- maintains and stores equipment in a safe and clean condition
- ensures that all equipment malfunctions are reported in a timely manner
- follows safety and cleanliness protocols
- collaborates with team members to uphold hospital standards
