Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Ability to read simple instructions and write simple correspondence
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Valid state-issued driver’s license if driving a company vehicle is required
- Availability to work various shifts including 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or weekends if needed
- Maintain neat and clean appearance with uniform
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands regularly and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction
- Punctuality and reliability
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers and employees
- Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear complete uniform at all times
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record, if required to drive company vehicle
Job Duties
- Ensure the appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout the shift
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
- Count vehicles on location as needed during the shift
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors violating garage policies
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in motor carts
- Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where their vehicles are parked
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
- Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment
- Report accidents, violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager
- Communicate debris, water, or oil spills to garage office
- Substitute for Valets when authorized
- Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and surrounding major streets and landmarks
- Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed
