Job Requirements
- GED or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, moving and pushing equipment
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to provide customer service
- Ability to meet employment eligibility including background checks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Use of initiative and resourcefulness to plan work assignments
- Able to maintain facility safety and adhere to NCAA and public health regulations
Job Qualifications
- GED or equivalent
- Qualify for work study financial aid assistance
- Previous experience working within an athletic facility or event management or comparable work environment is preferred
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Ability to demonstrate strong skills in leadership, motivation of staff and good verbal and written communications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies and SAC members
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other student employees
- Prefer knowledge of CPR, AED and First Aid
Job Duties
- Ensure that all equipment follows safety regulations, NCAA guidelines and federal, state, and county public health and safety regulations
- Work with the Associate Athletic Director of Facilities & Capital Projects to understand facility policies and procedures to include facility access, emergency action plans, standard operating procedures, and preventative maintenance
- Manage the day to day operations of athletic equipment and laundering of athletic apparel for all varsity sports
- Enforce policies and procedures that follow university rules and regulations related to facility guidelines, access, emergency plans and operating procedures
- Collaborate with Associate Athletic Director of Facilities & Capital Projects on equipment issuance, locker and lock issuance and clearance, daily laundry needs, and preparation for practice and home games
- Organize and perform game day operations including locker room, official area and team bench preparation
- Prepare and assist in the maintenance of outdoor athletic fields for competition
- Assist with operating the Ranger Store, ticket sales, and selling concessions
- Assist with selling and renewing SAC memberships
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities according to cleaning protocols
- Provide friendly and effective customer service to facility patrons
- Carry out other duties as assigned by athletics leadership
