Job Requirements

GED or equivalent
Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, moving and pushing equipment
Ability to work some evenings and weekends
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to provide customer service
Ability to meet employment eligibility including background checks
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Use of initiative and resourcefulness to plan work assignments
Able to maintain facility safety and adhere to NCAA and public health regulations

Job Qualifications

GED or equivalent
Qualify for work study financial aid assistance
Previous experience working within an athletic facility or event management or comparable work environment is preferred
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Ability to demonstrate strong skills in leadership, motivation of staff and good verbal and written communications
Ability to work independently
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies and SAC members
Ability to collaborate effectively with other student employees
Prefer knowledge of CPR, AED and First Aid

Job Duties

Ensure that all equipment follows safety regulations, NCAA guidelines and federal, state, and county public health and safety regulations
Work with the Associate Athletic Director of Facilities & Capital Projects to understand facility policies and procedures to include facility access, emergency action plans, standard operating procedures, and preventative maintenance
Manage the day to day operations of athletic equipment and laundering of athletic apparel for all varsity sports
Enforce policies and procedures that follow university rules and regulations related to facility guidelines, access, emergency plans and operating procedures
Collaborate with Associate Athletic Director of Facilities & Capital Projects on equipment issuance, locker and lock issuance and clearance, daily laundry needs, and preparation for practice and home games
Organize and perform game day operations including locker room, official area and team bench preparation
Prepare and assist in the maintenance of outdoor athletic fields for competition
Assist with operating the Ranger Store, ticket sales, and selling concessions
Assist with selling and renewing SAC memberships
Maintain cleanliness of facilities according to cleaning protocols
Provide friendly and effective customer service to facility patrons
Carry out other duties as assigned by athletics leadership
