Job Requirements

Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
2 years' experience in event management
2 years' customer service experience
Commitment to social justice and equitable education for all
Cultural proficiency and interpersonal/relationship building skills
Fluency and literacy in English
Excellent technology skills including Google Docs, Drive and Gmail, MS Office, student information and learning management systems, social media platforms
Proactive and detail oriented
Proven creative abilities
Quick producer and ability to multitask
Problem solver

Oral and written fluency in Spanish preferred

Prior experience sports scheduling & event planning preferred
Ability to create and maintain social media outlet, platforms and handles preferred

Job Duties

Helps to create and execute the annual HOPE activities calendar, including the creation of event fliers and announcements
Develop, create, plan and execute HOPE events, activities, athletics and arts programming to support student engagement, retention and recruitment at the Learning Sites while focusing on student and parent engagement and relationships
Review and analyze each event, activity, athletic opportunity for overall success and value
Attend and support all other HOPE events, including but not limited to dances, athletics, field trips, graduation and HOPE fundraisers
Develop new opportunities based on student and site input
Provide excellent customer service to Learning Sites, students and families
Team player in the creation and execution of all Community Engagement activities
Ability and desire to help out wherever and whenever is needed
Active and engaged member of the HOPE staff
Adjusts practice and prioritization of other tasks based on the needs of the Learning Site and HOPE
Sets personal goals related to event management and student engagement outcomes and seeks opportunities to improve personal professional practice through professional development and reflection
Other duties as assigned
