Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic knowledge of various sports including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, kickball, and softball
  • Availability to work at least 3 days a week and 2 weekends a month

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic knowledge of various sports including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, kickball, and softball
  • Availability to work at least 3 days a week and 2 weekends a month
  • Experience in athletic programming such as keeping a scorebook and operating a scoreboard preferred
  • Knowledge of Greensboro Parks and Recreation principles preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred
  • Strong ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision preferred

Job Duties

  • Enforcing athletic policies and procedures at various facilities and events
  • Preparing and setting up fields and facilities for programs
  • Monitoring participant eligibility and maintaining accurate game records such as scoring, time-outs, fouls, game times
  • Ensuring safety by managing crowd control, responding to emergencies, and maintaining clean and secure facilities
  • Communicating maintenance or security concerns to supervisors
  • Opening and closing facilities and conducting regular site checks during activities
