Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Professional Controller certification
  • US citizenship
  • ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • minimum of five years recent CPC experience or recent FAA instructional experience at a similar ATC facility
  • demonstrated technical skills with ATC automation and simulation
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability for part-time day shift work at Chicago O'Hare ATCT
  • no travel and no remote work capability

Job Qualifications

  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • minimum of five years recent Certified Professional Controller experience or recent FAA instruction experience at a similar ATC facility
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification
  • demonstrated teaching and classroom management skills
  • strong technical knowledge of ATC automation and simulation systems
  • ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel

Job Duties

  • deliver high-quality classroom and simulation training to air traffic control students
  • oversee contractor personnel providing instructional support
  • mentor developmental air traffic controllers and certified professional controllers
  • participate in curriculum design and development
  • ensure compliance with FAA training standards
  • collaborate effectively with FAA staff at all levels
  • maintain technical proficiency with ATC automation and simulation systems
