Job Requirements

  • us citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • certified professional controller certification
  • minimum five years recent CPC experience at similar ATC facility
  • strong technical skills with current ATC automation and simulation
  • effective classroom management
  • ability to collaborate with FAA personnel
  • willingness to work part-time and on site in Chicago
  • no travel required

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • certified professional controller certification
  • minimum five years recent CPC experience controlling live traffic or instructing FAA personnel
  • strong technical skills with ATC automation and simulation systems
  • excellent teaching and classroom management skills
  • ability to mentor and guide trainees
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • prior supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties

  • deliver classroom and simulation training to developmental and certified professional controllers
  • oversee and direct activities of contractor personnel within instructional area
  • mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators
  • participate in curriculum design and development
  • maintain radar and non-radar simulation lab certifications
  • ensure training delivery meets FAA and local facility needs
  • collaborate with FAA personnel at various levels
