Job Requirements
- minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of bakery or related experience
- completion of company orientation, food safety, and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to stand, walk, and reach frequently
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to manage lifting over 50 lbs safely by breaking loads or asking for assistance
- willingness to work with customers and perform detailed and precise tasks
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- good communication skills
- basic math and reading comprehension

Job Duties
- provide superior customer service
- take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answer customer questions regarding products
- assist with product selections
- use suggestive selling techniques to build department sales
- apply proficient baking / frying skills including equipment set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance
- plan baking / frying using production tools
- apply proper baking / frying techniques according to visual training aids
- ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor
- prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily
- slice, package, label, and rotate products
- record production and shrink to aid in planning
- clean and sanitize display cases
- comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- comply with department and store operating procedures
- operate and maintain all equipment properly
