Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attendance at United’s flight attendant training if not flight qualified
- 2-3 years of inflight supervisory or equivalent work experience
- Leadership experience with conflict resolution and decision-making
- Time management and organizational skills

- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Required to attend United’s flight attendant training to earn FAA certification if not currently flight qualified
- 2-3 years’ previous inflight supervisory experience or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years’ experience leading and influencing a team with solid conflict resolution and decision-making skills
- Effective time management, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proven strategic planning, continuous improvement, analytical problem-solving, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performance
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview
- Reliable, punctual attendance
- Adherence to flight attendant appearance standards including hair, makeup, and tattoos guidelines
- Ability to pass functional reach assessment without shoes
Job Duties
- Report to the Operations Manager and support the Base Leader as required for organizational goals within the Inflight division
- Coordinate the implementation of safety policies and procedures securing relationships and support from other divisions
- Provide local management with information and practices to reduce operational disruptions and increase Net Promoter scores
- Ensure consistent implementation of standard safety and Inflight objectives
- Work with stations to determine root cause of operational disruptions and aircraft damage incidents and share lessons learned
- Collaborate with Inflight Management to ensure adherence to regulatory practices and PSA briefing items
- Work with other divisions such as Flight Operations, Airport Operations, and Safety to resolve cross-departmental issues
- Coordinate the consistent implementation of Inflight Operations functions across all bases
- Support Operations Managers in supervising airport operation areas, communicating with internal stakeholders, and supporting company values through critical decision-making
- Identify and address flight-level issues related to Inflight, PSA, baggage processes, customer boarding, net promoter scores, catering, and flight attendant concerns
- Recognize irregularities such as IFDM alerts, ATC/WX issues, medical emergencies, major/minor flight alerts, and staffing issues and work with SOC and scheduling to resolve them
- Communicate and partner with team members across the operation via phone, radio, and messaging services to escalate and resolve critical issues
- Maintain Inflight priorities and initiatives with all stakeholders
- Document notable issues with operational performance
- Identify operational changes required for future improvements
- Develop and support standard work and continuous improvement processes with Inflight Operations supervisors
- Mentor and develop colleagues to grow professionally and strengthen the Inflight team
