Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in higher education, student affairs, event management or related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in building or facility management, student activities, or general programming
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Physical ability to perform all job duties
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Compliance with additional checks such as credit or motor vehicle reports if applicable
  • Ability to advise, teach, and coach university students
  • Ability to collaborate and develop partnerships with university departments, faculty, staff, and student organizations
  • Professional demeanor under stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in higher education, student affairs, event management or related field
  • Three years of experience in building or facility management, student activities, or general programming
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software and databases
  • Experience supervising professional staff
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated relationship, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to advise, teach, and coach university students
  • Ability to collaborate with various university departments and student organizations

Job Duties

  • Serve as the co-advisor for the Jaguar Production Crew to enhance programming and student leadership
  • Serve as a lead for JSAC operations, overseeing building standards, event readiness, and student employee development
  • Serve as the lead programmer for Weeks of Welcome, coordinating cross-campus activities and managing event logistics
  • Serve as the marketing and communications alignment lead, managing promotional strategies and ensuring consistent messaging
  • Plan and evaluate major campus events, analyzing budgets, and aligning with student engagement goals
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and handbooks for student programming and JSAC operations
  • Collaborate with campus departments and partners to optimize event execution and facility improvements
