Job Requirements
- Hold the rank of a tenured professor or associate professor in hospitality, tourism, or a related field at an accredited university
- meet the UCF Rosen College requirements for tenure
- possess a Ph.D. from an accredited institution with at least one degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or a related field
- demonstrate a record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment
- show demonstrated success in academic and educational leadership roles
- have the ability to communicate and interact effectively and promote a collaborative professional department culture
Job Qualifications
- Hold rank of tenured associate professor or professor in hospitality or related field
- Ph.D. from accredited institution with degree in hospitality management, tourism management, or related field
- proven record of teaching, research, and service at tenured level
- demonstrated academic leadership success
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- capability to promote collaborative departmental culture
- experience in curriculum development and academic program innovation
- leadership ability in faculty management and mentoring
- track record of research publications in hospitality or related disciplines
Job Duties
- Oversee academic programs including curriculum development
- manage faculty recruitment and retention
- lead strategic planning and financial affairs for the school
- serve on the college’s Executive Committee
- advocate for the School of Hospitality Leadership to internal and external stakeholders
- foster faculty engagement in grants and research activities
- represent the school to students, faculty, administration, and industry partners
