Job Requirements

  • Hold the rank of a tenured professor or associate professor in hospitality, tourism, or a related field at an accredited university
  • meet the UCF Rosen College requirements for tenure
  • possess a Ph.D. from an accredited institution with at least one degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or a related field
  • demonstrate a record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment
  • show demonstrated success in academic and educational leadership roles
  • have the ability to communicate and interact effectively and promote a collaborative professional department culture

Job Qualifications

  • Hold rank of tenured associate professor or professor in hospitality or related field
  • Ph.D. from accredited institution with degree in hospitality management, tourism management, or related field
  • proven record of teaching, research, and service at tenured level
  • demonstrated academic leadership success
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • capability to promote collaborative departmental culture
  • experience in curriculum development and academic program innovation
  • leadership ability in faculty management and mentoring
  • track record of research publications in hospitality or related disciplines

Job Duties

  • Oversee academic programs including curriculum development
  • manage faculty recruitment and retention
  • lead strategic planning and financial affairs for the school
  • serve on the college’s Executive Committee
  • advocate for the School of Hospitality Leadership to internal and external stakeholders
  • foster faculty engagement in grants and research activities
  • represent the school to students, faculty, administration, and industry partners
