Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant tradeshow and event planning experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments
  • Proficiency in project management and communication platforms
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25 percent including weekends
  • Availability to work hybrid schedule at Durham headquarters 2-3 days per week
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage budgets

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience planning and executing tradeshows, conferences, and events
  • Proven experience in the tradeshow and convention space with knowledge of systems and onsite logistics
  • Skilled independent contributor with remote collaboration experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
  • Proficient with project management tools such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, and SharePoint
  • Experience supporting large international and regional tradeshows
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative mindset with passion for impactful event experiences
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Zuant
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Experience in healthcare, biotech, or pharma event support is preferred

Job Duties

  • Support strategic planning and contract negotiations for sponsorship agreements
  • Maintain and lead a focused planning calendar of 20+ tradeshows and events
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to select planning leads
  • Manage logistics including registration, rentals, catering, and accommodations
  • Oversee budget management for events ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare all necessary promotional and event materials
  • Lead post-conference reporting and debrief sessions
  • Support operational administration and internal process development for the Events team
