Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team
  • Group sales experience
  • Ability to lead and manage sales teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from accredited university in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team
  • Experience in group sales
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to forecast and manage sales budgets effectively

Job Duties

  • Manages and directs the on-property group sales effort to meet revenue goals
  • Leads site inspections and business development activities for group sales
  • Collaborates with Director of Sales and Marketing and Revenue teams
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for customer and contract issue resolution
  • Develops and manages group sales revenue and operational budgets
  • Implements Marriott’s Customer Service Standards and brand initiatives
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, and performance management for the group sales team
