Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation, sports management, student personnel administration, or related field
- Minimum of five years related work experience
- Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of tournament scheduling principles
- Experience managing outdoor adventure programs
- Experience managing club sport programs
- Experience in budget development, program evaluation, and risk management
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to motivate colleagues and students
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- In Director's absence, responsible for all aspects of programming and facilities in the Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Department
- With the director, guide the Department of Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness in a manner consistent with the goals of the Student Affairs Division and the mission of the University
- Supervise the Assistant Program Director - Intramurals and provide direct operational and administrative oversight of the Intramural Sports program
- Supervise the Assistant Program Director - Outdoor Adventure and oversee climbing center operations, bike/camping gear checkout
- Supervise the Evening and Morning Building Supervisors
- Organize, administer, promote, supervise and evaluate the Club Sports program operation including managing council meetings, budgets, travel requests, practice schedules, and equipment
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of the Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Center, outdoor facilities, and exercise machines
- Assist with selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of student staff
- Oversee daily operations and programs including supervision of welcome greeters, laundry attendants, floor supervisors, and interns
- Maintain equipment and supplies for programs
- Develop and implement risk management program
- Develop annual evaluation and budget reports
- Assist in departmental budget oversight
- Support award, recognition programs, publications, and staff training
- Perform other duties as assigned
