Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years in event sales or event planning with supervisory or management experience
  • Previous Hyatt experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to relocate if required

  • Good operational organizational administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Finding solutions to difficult problems to enhance the event experience for the meeting planner and attendees
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Create and assist in preparing policies and procedures
  • Must be able to train staff and enhance the experience of the events team
  • Understand and support hotel’s overall goals and objectives
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • 6 years in hotel event sales and or event planning in a supervisory management role
  • Understand forecasting revenue and expense reporting
  • CMP Certified preferred
  • Has completed Key-Op Training
  • Able and willing to relocate

Job Duties

  • Assist with hiring training managing and coaching event colleagues
  • Supervise various aspects of the Events department including Meeting Concierges Event Coordinators Event Trainees Event Planning Managers and Event Sales Managers
  • Carry and achieve service group quota
  • Collaborate with hotel operations to design and uphold service standards
  • Drive colleague engagement and departmental success and efficiencies
  • Liaison with associate leadership team to design and drive hotel metrics
  • Step in for the Director of Events when needed
