Job Requirements

  • Minimum two-year associate degree required
  • minimum of 3 years of progressive event sales and event planning experience in a large-scale hotel or convention environment
  • at least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role within an event sales or event planning function
  • strong professional presentation skills
  • clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with individuals of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

Job Duties

  • Assist in leading and managing the overall event sales and event planning operation for a large-scale, high-volume convention hotel
  • Support short- and long-term strategic planning for events business, staffing, and revenue growth
  • Maintain or exceed budgeted event sales, catering revenue, and profitability goals
  • Achieve individual booking goals while supporting the overall property event sales objectives
  • Support the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies to drive catering and event revenue
  • Evaluate event business to ensure operational feasibility and service excellence
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership to develop creative, innovative menu offerings aligned with client needs and kitchen capabilities
