Job Requirements
- Minimum two-year associate degree
- minimum 3 years of progressive event sales and event planning experience in a large-scale hotel or convention environment
- at least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role within an event sales or event planning function
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties
- Assist in leading and managing the overall event sales and event planning operation for a large-scale, high-volume convention hotel
- Support short- and long-term strategic planning for events business, staffing, and revenue growth
- Maintain or exceed budgeted event sales, catering revenue, and profitability goals
- Achieve individual booking goals while supporting the overall property event sales objectives
- Support the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies to drive catering and event revenue
- Evaluate event business to ensure operational feasibility and service excellence
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to develop creative, innovative menu offerings aligned with client needs and kitchen capabilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on pricing specialty and custom menu offerings
- Train, supervise, mentor, and support event managers and administrative team members
- Lead and support the events team in soliciting, booking, planning, merchandising, and executing banquet and event functions
- Work closely with banquet and set-up leadership to ensure quality standards are consistently met and elevated
- Assist in building long-term, value-based client relationships to support repeat business and long-term revenue growth
- Support all phases of the events department, including sales, planning, servicing, marketing, and administrative functions
- Assist with coaching and counseling team members in alignment with Hyatt service standards and performance expectations
- Ensure consistency, professionalism, and service excellence across all event touchpoints
