Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in event management preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Proficiency in event management software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge
  • CMP certification preferred
  • Geographically mobile

Job Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading successful event management teams
  • Proficiency in event management software such as Delphi Envision or comparable systems
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
  • Passion for delivering personalized sustainable and memorable experiences
  • Ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • CMP certified preferred
  • Geographically mobile

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution including logistics room setups catering audiovisual and guest experiences
  • Partner closely with clients and internal teams to ensure each event reflects the Alila brand ethos of intuitive and bespoke service
  • Supervise event managers coordinators and support staff to ensure flawless execution of group and social functions
  • Act as the on-site liaison for high-profile events ensuring seamless communication between departments
  • Collaborate with the Director of Events and Sales team to maximize event revenue and profitability
  • Participate in site visits pre-conference meetings and client presentations
  • Develop creative upselling strategies and customized event packages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue
