Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum seven years of experience in culinary management
  • Proven leadership experience managing culinary teams
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to twenty-five pounds
  • Must pass comprehensive background checks
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Seven years of progressive experience in culinary management
  • Expertise in menu planning, food costing, and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of culinary trends, health and wellness, and sustainability
  • Experience with large-scale food service production
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in culinary technology platforms such as Jamix
  • Ability to collaborate with nutrition and wellness professionals
  • Experience in training and evaluating culinary staff
  • Excellent communication skills and client interaction abilities

Job Duties

  • Designs and implements menus aligned with health, wellness, and sustainability values
  • Collaborates with nutritionists and dietitians to accommodate special dietary needs
  • Continuously evaluates menu performance and integrates feedback
  • Utilizes technology for recipe management and ordering integration
  • Develops and manages culinary training programs
  • Leads testing and competency evaluation of culinary staff
  • Collaborates on policy development and food cost analysis
  • Promotes best practices in hospitality operations
  • Develops menus for special events and seasonal promotions
  • Works with supply chain and sustainability teams to reduce costs and waste
  • Represents Yale Hospitality professionally to stakeholders
  • Leads and manages culinary teams across auxiliary and retail operations
  • Oversees catering and special event culinary executions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
