Job Requirements
- no formal education required
- must complete onboarding training or enroll within 90 days of hire
- must be able to read, speak, and understand English
- must have basic math skills
- ability to learn specialized cleaning procedures and equipment
- ability to work in a team environment
- ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs frequently, up to 60 lbs occasionally
- able to work outdoors 10 percent of the time in temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees
- valid US or Canadian driver’s license preferred
- one year of general work experience preferred

Job Duties
- assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment in university facilities
- provide custodial services for classrooms, offices, research labs, and public spaces
- drive a university owned vehicle during work shift if required
- work a non-traditional schedule including early mornings
- perform specialized cleaning procedures as needed
- provide building access by locking and unlocking areas as scheduled
- develop relationships with building occupants and respond to requests
