Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years relevant experience

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sports management or related field
  • Minimum of three years experience in facilities, event management or related field preferably in collegiate or professional athletics
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong computer skills and related software capability
  • Excellent management, organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work on weekends, nights and holidays when necessary
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, communicate, and adhere to athletics, university, conference and NCAA policies, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Ability to develop meaningful and productive relationships with colleagues, coaches and student-athletes

Job Duties

  • Provide unit leadership for athletics facilities daily operations and game day/special events
  • Provide unit leadership for all full-time, student and event-based operations staff
  • Schedule use of all athletics facilities and maintain a master schedule of events
  • Direct and supervise operations for all athletics game day and special events and coordinate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality guest experience
  • Develop and implement a credential system for athletics and special events
  • Oversee all operations, maintenance and custodial services for athletics facilities including multiple sports venues
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures and oversee security for each facility, working with Campus Public Safety
  • Develop and coordinate submission of bids for postseason hosting opportunities
  • Serve as liaison to University committees related to facilities, capital projects and related areas
  • Lead all capital planning and projects for athletics facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
