Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Facilities, Event Management or related field preferably in collegiate or professional athletics
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work on weekends, nights and holidays when necessary
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must pass motor vehicle reports check
  • Must pass sex offender registry check
  • Must pass substance abuse testing

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Facilities, Event Management or related field preferably in collegiate or professional athletics
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent management, organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to develop meaningful and productive relationships with colleagues, coaches and student-athletes
  • Ability to meet established deadlines and work effectively with diverse groups
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, communicate and adhere to Athletics, university, conference and NCAA policies

Job Duties

  • Provide unit leadership for athletics facilities daily operations and game day/special events
  • Provide unit leadership for all full-time, student and event-based operations staff
  • Schedule use of all athletics facilities and maintain a master schedule of events
  • Direct and supervise operations for all athletics game day and special events and coordinate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality guest experience
  • Develop and implement a credential system for athletics and special events
  • Oversee all operations, maintenance and custodial services for athletics facilities, including the Jack Stephens Center, Hatcher Wrestling Center, Hogan Field, Coleman Sports Complex and Donaghey Student Center Natatorium
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures and oversee security for each facility, working with Campus Public Safety
  • Develop and coordinate submission of bids for postseason hosting opportunities
  • Serve as liaison to University committees related to facilities, capital projects and related areas
  • Lead all capital planning and projects for athletics facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
