Job Requirements

  • Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree in relevant field
  • One to three years of related and progressive work experience
  • Experience in event planning, budget management, communications, education, supervision, and partnership development
  • Strong understanding of federal grant requirements and AmeriCorps
  • Software proficiency including MS Office, Google Suite, Canva, eGrants, OnCorps, and GRACE
  • Ability to present to diverse audiences including students, parents, schools, and community organizations
  • Ability to travel in-state for program and event needs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Public Relations, Communications, Business, or related field
  • One to three years of progressively responsible experience in event planning, budget management, communications, education, supervision, and partnership development
  • Strong knowledge of federal grant programs, especially AmeriCorps
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva, and data tracking systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to diverse audiences
  • Experience using eGrants, OnCorps, and GRACE software

Job Duties

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor remote College Advisers across Eastern Michigan
  • Analyze adviser performance data and implement improvement plans
  • Lead communications, recruitment, and professional development efforts
  • Foster collaborative relationships with partner schools, community organizations, and stakeholders
  • Develop and conduct training workshops, seminars, and support program events
  • Maintain administrative records, process reimbursements, and manage program budgets
  • Coordinate event planning, conduct research, and monitor grant compliance
