Job Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or MD-PhD)
  • Licensed to practice in the U.S. and able to obtain an Oklahoma license
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology or related field
  • Demonstrated success or strong interest in clinical research
  • Strong initiative
  • Commitment to lifelong learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting

Job Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or MD-PhD) in good clinical standing
  • Licensed to practice in the U.S. and able to obtain an Oklahoma license
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology or related field
  • Demonstrated success or strong interest in launching a clinical research program
  • Strong initiative and commitment to lifelong learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Clinical trial experience as site principal investigator or co-investigator preferred
  • Immunology exposure and training preferred
  • Proven experience in writing clinical research protocols and co-authoring manuscripts preferred
  • History of extramural funding, investigator-initiated clinical trials, cohort experience, and/or senior author publications preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide optimal, comprehensive, compassionate, and science-driven rheumatology patient care
  • Develop vibrant clinical research programs in systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases
  • Collaborate with basic scientists involved in translational rheumatology research
  • Contribute to and utilize extensive autoimmune disease patient cohorts and biospecimen collections
  • Lead or participate in clinical trials, cohort studies, health equity, or outcomes research
  • Engage with multidisciplinary rheumatology clinical care and research teams
  • Utilize and contribute to OMRF’s core clinical and research facilities
