Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1-3 years of experience working in higher education preferably a fast-paced admission office
  • exemplary customer service and organization skills
  • ability to collaborate effectively
  • strong communication skills both oral and written
  • detail-oriented
  • ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions
  • ability to maintain confidentiality regarding information and files
  • ability to quickly become proficient using campus information systems and CRM
  • availability to work evenings, partial weekends, and campus visit programs as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1-3 years of experience working in higher education especially in admission offices
  • exemplary customer service and organizational skills
  • strong oral and written communication skills

  • ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to quickly become proficient in campus information systems and CRM
  • advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years experience in selective college admissions preferred
  • familiarity with Technolutions Slate preferred
  • experience planning recruitment events preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain all systems and processes related to daily campus visits and Saturday visits using the CRM Slate
  • respond to visit inquiries
  • serve as the primary point of contact throughout the pre-visit process
  • assist with the planning and execution of large-scale prospective and admitted student programming including preview days, admitted student events, and summer orientation
  • lead by example by exhibiting exemplary professionalism and a commitment to service-orientation
  • serve as an on-call manager for all visitor needs during public/event hours
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with campus departments including academic departments, financial aid, campus life, residential life, the registrar, and student accounts
  • schedule individual meetings with faculty and class visits
  • maintain strong working knowledge of student policies and procedures
  • design appropriate and appealing visit agendas responsive to visitors’ needs
  • use data to report, analyze, and determine the effectiveness of visit processes and suggest improvements
  • communicate with campus partners to coordinate rooms, catering, and events
  • respond to high volume of phone and email inquiries related to admissions
  • hire, train, mentor, manage, and supervise ~20 student Admission Ambassadors
  • maintain high engagement and coordinate Admission Ambassadors participation at visits and events
  • ensure Admission Ambassador program provides meaningful, transferable skills and experience
  • manage budget for Admission Ambassadors
