Job Requirements
- minimum of two years experience as a front waiter in fine dining and banquet service settings
- minimum of two years experience selling and serving wine and other beverage products
- intermediate to advanced English verbal and writing skills
- high school diploma or secondary education equivalent
- training in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations
- ability to work 7 days a week
- professional appearance and good hygiene
- respectful towards coworkers and guests
- positive behaviors including smiling and politeness
- able to live in close quarters and share limited space with cabin-mates
Job Qualifications
- minimum of two years experience as a front waiter with fine dining and banquet service experience
- experience selling and serving wine and other beverage products
- intermediate to advanced level English verbal and writing skills including proper use of English grammar
- completion of secondary education or equivalent
- courses in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations and procedures
- passion for hospitality and customer service
- professional appearance and good hygiene
- positive attitude including smiling, politeness and courtesy
- ability to develop camaraderie with team members
Job Duties
- assist a waiter with the service for food and beverage of assigned station and team
- rotate throughout the buffet and room service as assigned by management
- ensure courteous, prompt and efficient service according to company standards
- assist with achieving departmental guest satisfaction targets and food and beverage revenues by following service strategies and optimizing up-sell opportunities
- perform station setup with required china, glassware, silverware and mis-en-place prior to service
- comply with sequence of service and follow waiter instructions
- resolve service and product deficiencies to ensure guest satisfaction
- clean and set-up assigned station at end of meal period
- man non-cooking buffet action stations such as carving and dessert stations
- deliver food and beverage orders and amenities to guest staterooms
- assist with private parties and functions
- field guest phone orders and handle according to procedures
- clear service trays from staterooms, corridors and pantries in a timely manner
